10 Facts about Fumiko Kawa:



1.) Fumiko Kawa? Is this your name?
- hmmm... actually it all started when I ask myself :

what's my design direction?
what's my spirit?

then I write down all the words and paste it on my room's wall... (^_^)
since I love Japanese culture so much, I translate all those words into Japanese,

by looking at dozens and dozens of paper sticking on the wall,
I conclude it into several words ^^v


fu : wind
kawa : river

wind, nature element which doesn't have a solid form,
it could be a comfortable breeze or a destructive hurricane,

just like the textile :

lace could be punk and rock
metal could be feminine

destructive or comfortable?
depend on how we use it, practice it and transform it with your own unique way.



river, it's how I see my daily life, daily inspiration,

even the mighty ocean, water are flow from river,
and river, you mustn't let go of every single tiny or big water stream in order to form a constant and stable river,

just like my inspiration, I doesn't tend to pick only a certain thing as inspiration,
for me, in order to create and contribute to the fashion world, every things happen around me excites me.

anyway, you could call me Fumiko^^



2.) So, where do you come from?
- I come from the same hometown as Jimmy Choo , Malaysia  : p
and this is the place where I grow up...

summer around the year, cars around the road,
facebook around the i-pad, i-phone around the hand,
and I around the childhood of independence.



3.) Are you a Japs?
- I am a Malaysian Chinese... with fair skin, big eyes and pint-size.  >,<"



4.) What camera do you use?
- Hmmm... photo before may 2011 is shoot with Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28
  [please do not buy this camera =_="]
the image shoot from this camera is as flat as a pancake.
After that, I switch to Canon 7D 15-85



5.) Who takes your photo & where?
- I have a fantastic photographer friend: Jonathan, he takes my photo and 'force' me to keep smile when the shoot^^
and I takes photos around my living place, I'm not living in oversea, there is no pretty streets, buildings..
even snow.. but, I hope you all like it.



6.) When did you start blogging?
- I started at May 2010.



7.) What's you blogging about?
- [I love this question] All about Japan, fashion, creativity, tasteful inspiration, styling and my redesign/design.



8.) What's style defines you?
- layering in minimalistic concept, casual cool yet girly style, keep as creative as Japanese street style, and me.



9.) Do you work? What do you do usually?
- I am more keen to work as a freelancer, as it allow me to gain more fashion experiences,
